JSEF Accomplishments 2011

  • January 2011 gave $5,000 to JSUSD for Innovative Classrooms (computer equipment)
  • February 2011 gave six teachers in $100 increments, Donor Choose requests for their classroom needs
  • February 2011 donated $200 to Spanish teacher at JSHS to attend a teachers conference
  • March 2011 gave $1,000 toward Global Glimpse for student trip
  • April 2011 gave $100 to JSHS Cheer Squad
  • May 2011 granted scholarships to four graduating Seniors at JSHS
  • September 2011 invested in grant sourcing material with plans to work with the school district in identifying appropriate grants for our district
  • October 2011 $1,000 given toward Challenge Day, personal growth training benefitting 200 students at JSHS
  • October 2011 gave three teachers in our district, in $100 increments, funds on DonorsChoose.org toward equipment needed for student classrooms
  • November 2011 made more donations to local teachers via Donors Choose

JSEF Accomplishments 2010

  • Funded a professional Nutritional Presentation at Rodeo Hills on eating healthfully and nutritionally
  • Enabled a needy student to attend a Spanish Immersion camp
  • With the help of Donorschoose.org and community members, we funded four document cameras for math teachers
  • Donated funds to help with expenses of a student motivational play at JSHS
  • Worked with JSHS PTA on a Bocce Tournament mostly benefiting their organization
  • Paid for six computers for JSUSD in order to conduct the summer school program
  • JSEF members were instrumental in working on the Measure J campaign
  • With Rodeo Hills PTA, funded a field trip to the Academy of Science – K and 1st graders
  • Gave a grant to The Band Boosters in order for them to continue with band activities
  • Partially funded JSHS Math Teachers to go to a Math Conference

JSEF Accomplishments 2009

  • Funded books toward the Character Counts program at Rodeo Hills
  • Paid for registrations for several Rodeo Hills teachers to go to kindergarten training
  • Funded two JSHS math teachers to a weekend conference in Asilomar
  • Donated money to JSHS to offset the cost of AP exams for students
  • Partially funded an Asthma study for after school program at Carquinez Middle School
  • Donated to local families and teachers in times of personal tragedy
  • Funded and obtained several laptops and printers and gave to various teachers in need
