About Us
John Swett Education Foundation was founded out of a need to help the schools and it's students in the 4 schools within the John Swett Unified School district. The impetus was the failure of a June 2006 parcel tax which would have gone to the schools. Since then we have formed a board of directors of very talented people, have become a non profit, taken classes on running an education foundation and have had some wonderful successes with active community involvement.

Supporters of our schools and supporters of Measure A
Your best show of support to your community is to invest in our schools and our children. We are requesting that you write a check to JSEF for $60 which is what you would have paid in the Measure A parcel tax and drop it off at our booth. If $60 is a bit steep for you, we will gladly accept and appreciate all donations.
This money will be turned over to the school district general fund and used for education purposes. Thank you for your generosity.
If you're out of town or unable to visit us at our booth, you can send your kind donation to:

5th ANNUAL GET LUCKY PROM-2011
Our School District "GOT LUCKY" at the 5th annual Get Lucky Prom. Held on Saturday November 12th at the Crockett Community Center, we had the largest attendance ever. The net profits will go far in our small school district and we're already funding various needs. Thanks to al the many volunteers of their time, donors of goods, services and money. You are all the backbone of our community and we are very grateful.
The event theme was California Dreamin' and we were delighted that two locals won the 1st and 2nd California trip raffle prizes. The event featured a full dinner from appetizers through dessert, a no host bar, an awesome light show by Erin Marlow of Chaos Lighting, DJ Nick Capule and photographer Cindy Lane at the camera. Our Silent Auction was completely sold out and plenty of people walked out with some fabulous bargains, just in time for Holiday giving. The gowns, the tuxedos, the t-shirts and jeans and tie dye! Well, it IS California and anything goes!
Place on your calendars, the 6th annual Get Lucky Prom which will be held at the Crockett Community Center on November 10th, 7pm. We will in time present a means for you to order tickets and donate goods and services to the Silent Auction or general prize drawings. Call us at 510-541-5778 if you want to make any comments on the past Prom or have ideas for the upcoming one.
